The Flying Opera es el primer álbum en directo y DVD del proyecto de supergrupo alemán de Tobias Sammet, Avantasia. Se lanzo el 18 de marzo de 2011, se grabo durante su primera gira mundial en 2008 promocionando su disco The Scarecrow.^[1]​
