Why my user page is marked as spam
[edit]I don't see any reason to mark it as spam as it is just a user page giving information about me and relevant profile links. It is not an article and not promoting any articles. Dnyaneshwarware (talk) 06:17, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
William Edouard Scott edit
[edit]Hi - one of my students edited to William Edouard Scott's page recently that you removed. This is the first time she has edited wikipedia and I don't want her to be discouraged by its removal. Although she posted it before I could suggest she edit it for clarity, her contribution is rooted in a reliable source; can you tell me what she would need to change in order to have her edit remain on the page? - @Marbleelf: Hello, there were two main problems with the edit they made. The first issue was that no sources were cited. On Wikipedia, content should be supported with reliable, secondary sources that can be used to verify that the information is true. This page explains a little bit about citations and how to add them, and this page is also another good guide to how to cite sources as well. The second issue I noticed with the edit is that it did not seem to be written from a neutral point of view (particularly where it talks about the subject and how he
"discovered his talent for art"
and how decisions he made"would shape the course of his life"
). Regarding what she would need to change for the content to stay, if she can include the source you said she has and change the tone a little bit (particularly the part I described) so that it is less promotional-sounding towards the subject, it should be good to stay on the page. If you have any other questions, please let me know! ProClasher97 ~ Have A Question? 02:06, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
