Why are oceans not in the list of types of navigable water? Is there a source for a formal or standard classification of navigable water? I have a similar question about whether navigable water is qualified by the vessel type, for example a creek can be navigable water for a canoe but not for an tanker. --JDAddelston (talk) 22:49, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
