Company
[edit]Layo was founded in 2025 by John Allen and Drew Levine. The product launched into public beta in February 2026, shortly after the release of the ChatGPT & Claude app stores. Layo raised $1.5 million in pre-seed venture funding led by Paul Palmieri at Grit Capital Partners, who is known for his work in the early app economy.
